Just as our first tomatoes are ripe, the lettuce ceases its former prolific growth!
You might find it hard to believe, but these six plants have been sufficient for our daily lettuce consumption for the past couple of months.

I think lettuce has 2-3 lives to it and then it goes to pot. Doesn't surprise me that it looks like this. Plant some more and you will have it at the end of summer. You are probably ready for a break from lettuce. My garden is progressing nicely and we will be eating lettuce for months now too.
